At Rise Up Recovery, we reintroduce individuals to becoming productive and positive members of their homes, families, and communities. Peer Support (PS) will use their lived experience with Substance Abuse Recovery, and skills learned in training to help others achieve and maintain recovery and wellness from substance use conditions. PS will function as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skill. At an appropriate pace, PS perform a wide range of tasks to assist peers, from ages 18 and above, in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process.
